dolce

It’s not easy to circumscribe the Dolce & Gabbana universe within a definition. A world made up of sensations, traditions, culture and a Mediterranean nature. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have made a trademark of their surnames which is known throughout the world, easily recognizable thanks to its glamour and great versatility.

The dynamic duo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s first collection was shown in October 1985 alongside five other up-and-coming Italian labels during Milans Fashion Week. However, it wasn’t until their fourth collection that they made a significant impact on the Italian fashion market. Never faltering in exceptional style, D&G made a wise choice when they decided to launch their first men’s collection in 1990. By 1991, their men’s collection was awarded the Woolmark Award for the most innovative men’s collection of the year. Throughout their career they have collaborated with celebrities such as Madonna, Scarlett Johanssen, Monica Bellucci, and Angelina Jolie. Dolce & Gabbana’s animal prints have been described as “haute hippy dom” taking inspiration in particular from Italy’s prestigious film history and always rich in color. “When we design it’s like a movie,” said Domenico Dolce. “We think of a story and we design the clothes to go with it “

For us Dolce&Gabbana is new luxury; authentic and unconventional. A style that expresses new forms of elegance, presenting itself as a modern classicism but based on superior sartorial content and creativity and a brand whose essence lies in its contrasting features.  The strong identity of the Dolce&Gabbana brand has evolved over the years without ever forgetting its roots. It’s unmistakable style, which, season after season, combines strong innovation with the Mediterranean flavor of its origins.
